WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — The Wakulla County Sheriff's office has arrested seven individuals, ranging in age from 12 to 19, for more than a dozen burglaries in the Wakulla Gardens Subdivision over the course of a week.
Between March 22 and March 30, WCOS says two residential burglaries, eight vehicle burglaries, and several other related thefts were reported to them.
They say all of the burglaries/thefts occurred in the northern section of the Wakulla Gardens Subdivision, between Maido Street and Apache Road. During these burglaries, multiple bicycles, guns, varying amounts of cash, a variety of electronics, sneakers, and other items were stolen.
Through an investigation, deputies determined that all the burglaries stemmed from the same group of suspects.
WCSO also learned that while only 10 burglaries had been reported to them, the suspects actually went into 25 unlocked vehicles and checked at least 300 vehicles to determine whether or not they were locked.
Based on the evidence, six juveniles, ranging in age from 12 to 17, were arrested and charged with a variety of burglary and larceny charges. Cameron Christian Abbott, 19, was also arrested and charged in connection to the string of crimes.
