TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Four men are facing charges after a Tallahassee Police Department operation focused on prostitution in the Frenchtown community.
TPD said Wednesday's operations, which aim to deter crime and enhance safety, were initiated following complaints from people living in the area.
"Thanks to diligent work by members of the Special Investigations Section, in conjunction with the Violent Crimes Response Team and Prisoner Transport Unit, the operations resulted in the arrest of four people for solicitation of prostitution," the release sent Thursday read.
All four were charged for solicitation of prostitution. Police say one man was also charged for possession of 13 grams of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The names of those arrested are below:
- Joe Gavin Jr., 40, for solicitation of prostitution
- Dante Williams, 25, for possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, solicitation of prostitution, carrying a concealed firearm
- Harold Williams Jr., 49, for solicitation of prostitution
- David M. Boydston, 34, for solicitation of prostitution
