COOK COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) — Two families are grieving for the loss of two teen girls who were killed in a dirt bike accident early Saturday morning.
It happened around 3 a.m. on I-75.
Cook County Coroner Tim Purvis says a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old were riding a dirt bike when they got hit by a small SUV about two miles past the county line. Purvis says their lights weren't on and they weren't wearing helmets at the time.
The other driver is expected to be okay.
Georgia State Patrol is investigating.
