VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) — The Valdosta Police Department is investigating after a deadly shooting on Hudson Street Sunday night.
On June 14, at approximately 10:37 pm., Valdosta Police Officers responded to the 500 block of Hudson Street for a 911 call about a subject who had been shot.
When they arrived, officers found a 24-year-old male with apparent gunshot wounds to his body.
Officers provided first aid until Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene. EMS transported the victim to South Georgia Medical Center, where the victim, who has not been identified, died.
Detectives with the Valdosta Police Department and Crime Scene Personnel from the Valdosta-Lowndes Regional Crime Laboratory responded to the scene to investigate the incident, which is being treated as a homicide.
