TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Students in Wakulla and the surrounding communities have an opportunity to get ready for the upcoming school year through an event held by Generation NOW Ministries, Inc.

Jocelyn Hayes, founder of Generation NOW Ministries and Kristin Dow, event partner with Crawfordville United Methodist Church, stopped by the WTXL Sunrise studio Wednesday to talk how the "Fresh - Back to School Event" can get students pumped for a new school year.

They said that this free event will have activities for all ages such as a fashion show, talent show, and face-painting. Students will also be able to get school physicals, haircuts, and supplies.

The event will be held Saturday, August 9th from 10am to 2pm at the Wakulla One Stop Community Center located at 318 Crawfordville Highway.
