TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL)-- A local attorney has spent 30 days in jail after the Florida Supreme Courts Ruling.
Bernard F. Daley Jr. is the only one out of 22 other Attorneys that will serve time in county jail.
The Tallahassee lawyer was found guilty of indirect criminal contempt for violating previous court order. He then reported to Jefferson County Jail on August 5, 2016 to serve the 30 day sentence.
Daley had numerous charges pending, including lack of and excessive billing. Among the 22 serving, two are being disbarred, four will have their licenses revoked, 12 are suspended, and 3 are being publicly reprimanded.
The Florida Bar, Department of Lawyer Regulation has reported all of the individuals broke professional conduct standards.
