TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- A local kickball league is going above and beyond this holiday season, doing some shopping of their own for families in need.
Volunteers from the Tallahassee Kickball Association (TKA) wrapped gift donations as part of a partnership with Big Bend Cares.
Saturday, the group shopped for more than 300 gifts listed on "Angel Tree" wish lists, made by less fortunate families in the Big Bend. They put gathered finishing touches on their donations Sunday.
The Tallahassee Kickball Association has games every Tuesday evening at Springsax Park during the eight-week kickball season.
The TKA has 250 members, and in their ninth season, the association has donated a total of $60,000 to various Tallahassee nonprofits.
