TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Job-seekers headed to the FSU Alumni Center Tuesday for a career fair tailored to specific industries.
Dozens dressed to impress with the goal of getting hired in fields seeing growing demand.
CareerSource Capital Region hosted a "Manufacturing, Construction, Transportation and Logistics" hiring fair.
About 20 businesses chatted with potential employees about the skills they'll need to get jobs.
One of those companies, the Florida Trucking Association (FTA), says it's looking for different kinds of talent to join its team.
"There are jobs outside of just driving," said Ben Schultz with the FTA. "You can be a diesel mechanic, get your diesel certification. You can work in logistics. There's a wide variety of jobs in trucking, and there's a lot of positions that are hiring."
The fair connected job-seekers with employers in three counties. CareerSource Capital Region says this is the first specific event they've created just for these career fields.
Up next for the organization is a job fair for veterans coming up in November.
