TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Leroy Collins Institute is hosting a 'Separate Not Equal' conference where they will release their latest report, Patterns of Resegregation in Florida Schools.
The report charts resegregation starting in 1994 and on, finding that one-fifth of Florida's K through 12 public schools are intensely segregated, and that around one-third of Hispanic and black students attend these schools.
The half-day conference included a video presentation by the report's author and two panels. One was focused on initial reactions to the report and the other discussed future implications.
