TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -On Saturday, children or future doctors, were able to learn hands-on techniques and basic terms all while exploring careers in the medical field.

The idea came from Nurse Sharena Beard, who wanted to share her love of teaching kids and introducing them to the medical world.

The first Tiny Docs Initiative classes were held Saturday and were completely full.

"Our children need to know that they can be leaders in healthcare, they can come up with different ideas. They are limited, right now, to I want to be a doctor or a nurse, but they can learn about being a Pharmacist, a Respiratory Therapist," said Sharena Beard, Owner and Instructor or Tiny Docs Initiative.

Nurse Sharena said she can bring her fun and educational class to any youth event. To learn more about this initiative visit Tiny docs website.
