TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Community members voiced their frustration during a meeting Wednesday night with Leon County school officials.
The group discussed a proposal that would relocate that would move the ACE School across town into the Lively Technical Center Campus.
Students from Pace Secondary School would also be relocated near Lincoln High School under this proposal.
Parents say that these schools provide GED classes, English as a second language classes, and ways to get high school credit, in a less restricting educational environment.
Students are able to personalize their class schedules to meet the needs of their jobs and family commitments.
The possible move is also causing concerns for safety and means of transportation.
Superintendent Hanna says this that this is a difficult issue to address, but the move will provide students with more educational opportunities and better safety protocols during bad weather.
