WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - As communities across the Big Bend continue to live without power, food, and water. A Wakulla club is trying to fix that problem.

The Wakulla Shrine Club is currently serving free food to locals or anyone who comes through the area.

The club has already served about 1,000 meals over the past three days.

One of the members said the idea of serving the community came off of a whim.

"We saw all the food in the refrigerator going bad and rather than having it go bad we figured we might as well cook it up and invite as many people as we can and feed them all," said Sunnie Boydston, Wakulla Shrine Club Member.

If you would like to get some free food or donate, you can drop by the Wakulla Shrine Club between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m.
