VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL)--New Year's Eve is quickly approaching so if you were planning to buy some fireworks to celebrate, why not help out a local church while you shop?

Folks with the United Pentecostal Church say these Black Cat sparklers are spectacular.

Church leaders say some of the proceeds go to repairing the church's gym that children in the community enjoy. Organizers say fireworks are a fun way to celebrate the new year with your family.

"It's just enormous amounts of fun," said Family Fun Fireworks employee Paris Barby. "The kids like it. It doesn't matter if you're two months old. My grandson at 18 months loves them all the way up to 99 (years old), you just have a ball."

You can pick up the fireworks at United Pentacostal Church, and in front of Harvey's Supermarket in cities including Valdosta on Norman Drive, Thomasville, Adel, and Madison, Florida, through News Years Day.
