TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Next weekend, a local church is holding a health and community services event for the residents of Orange Avenue Apartments and the surrounding area.
Organizers stopped by the WTXL studio to tell us more.
"We're going to have children's programming, we're going to have a thousand people we're going to be feeding, we're going to have clothes for a thousand people, so come get your outfits," said organizers. "We're going to have a whole lot of nice giveaways and we're going to end the day with a wonderful gospel concert. It's going to be a grand, grand day."
The event is next Saturday, at the Orange Avenue Apartments.
It all gets started at 10:30 a.m. and goes until 5 p.m.
There will be health screenings, cooking classes, grocery giveaways and activities for kids.
