TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Agency for Persons with Disabilities recognized 12 businesses that hire and retain people with disabilities from around the state of Florida.
The 13th annual Exceptional Employer Award Ceremony, alongside the City of Tallahassee, was held on Thursday and among the businesses being recognized is Tallahassee's own Paisley Cafe.
"We hope that us getting this award hope will be an opportunity for other people to kind of do what Kevin and I have done, be accepting of one another, helping each other at work who have disabilities, that are actual disabilities in the work place," said Kiersten Lee, Owner of Paisley Cafe.
Among those getting awards also included Lucky's Market and Firehouse Subs.
