TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - In the midst of several national chain businesses closing, local business ventures look promising.
Red coat ambassadors from the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce were on site Wednesday for two business openings.
One for a new Red Eye Coffee at Capital Regional Medical Center and another at CAMPUS USA Credit Union. While online purchases may be driving national corporations to close, local businesses could benefit.
"We're finding that the opportunities that are coming with the increased age of the internet both from a shopping perspective and a service providing perspective is really interesting to watch and we continue to see local businesses doing well," said Jay Revell, Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce Vice President.
Employees at those new businesses say they look forward to continued growth.
