(WTXL) - Music has a way of bringing people together and that's why local artists are putting on the Franklin County Relief Concert for victims of the Limerock Wildfire.
Music is definitely a healer, and Friday night local artists are donating every penny earned at their benefit to the families who lost everything due to the wildfire in Eastpoint.
The suggested admission price is $15 but you're encouraged to give what you can. That money will go to the Franklin County Emergency Operation Center to help families get necessities like food and shelter while they await more help to start rebuilding.
One of the performers says that music is about empathy and he is honored to share his talent to help rebuild.
"A lot of times, it's under unfortunate circumstances," said Bill "Sauce Boss" Wharton. "For the past decade or so, I've been taking my show to homeless shelters, for that reason."
Wharton is taking the stage along with other local groups like High Test, Pat Puckett, Thousand Dollar Hen and many more.
The show starts at the Junction at Monroe at 8 p.m.
