TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A technical issue forced nearly 300 PSA flights to be canceled and stranded passengers at North Carolina's Charlotte-Douglas International Airport Thursday night.
As many as 275 American Airline flights were affected, including some locally.
"So this morning we saw three of our morning departure cancellations, the D.C.A flight and two Charlotte flights, were affected by the issue that PSA airlines, which is a regional carrier for American Airlines, had," said Jim Durwin, the interim deputy director of Tallahassee International Airport.
Local departure cancellations occurred between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. Friday morning and affected roughly 150 travelers.
The flight scheduled to arrive from Charlotte at during the 2 p.m. hour was delayed.
Tallahassee airport officials say the issue seems to have resolved, and that affected passengers would need to contact the airline to discuss any accommodations.
American Airlines issued a statement saying in part: "Our team is working hard to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and accommodate customers."
