ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Live Oak man is dead after a two-car accident in Alachua County.
Joshua Martin, 27, died from his injuries at the University of Florida Health Shands Hospital.
According to Florida Highway Patrol at about 3:14 p.m. on Thursday, Martin and another car were both traveling northbound on County Road 235A.
FHP states while the other car was stopped in traffic, Martin hit the back of the car.
Martin was taken to UF Health Shands Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The other driver was not injured in the accident.
FHP says it is not known at this time if either driver was wearing a seatbelt, but alcohol did not play a role in the accident.
FHP states the crash investigation is ongoing at this time.
