Live Oak man dies in motorcycle crash in Hamilton County

HAMILTON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A man from Live Oak died after being hit on his motorcycle.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, it happened at County Road 146 and 141 in Jennings at about 8 p.m. Saturday.

They say a teen did not stop at a stop sign, trying to make a left turn, hitting 55-year-old James Parson on his motorcycle.

Troopers say Parson was taken to Shands Hospital but later died from his injuries.

Charges are pending. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
