SOUTH GEORGIA (WTXL) - Some parts of Georgia are expected to experience winter weather in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
In an effort to keep everyone safe, some schools are closing are delaying start times. Below is an updating list of school closures:
- BAKER COUNTY: All Baker County Schools will be closed for all students and staff on Wednesday.
- DECATUR COUNTY: All Decatur County Schools will be closed on Wednesday and will reopen Thursday.
Grace Christian Academy in Bainbridge will also be closed on Wednesday and will reopen Thursday.
Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (Bainbridge) will also be closed on Wednesday.
- MILLER COUNTY: All Miller County Schools will be closed for students, faculty, and staff on Wednesday and will reopen on Thursday.
- MITCHELL COUNTY: The Mitchell County School System and Baconton Community Charter School will be closed Wednesday and will reopen on Thursday.
Pelham City Schools will be closed for students and faculty Wednesday and will reopen on Thursday.
Westwood School will be closed Wednesday.
- SEMINOLE COUNTY: Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College - Donalsonville
Seminole County Schools. Staff report at 10 a.m.
- TIFT COUNTY: Chess Academy and Tiftarea Academy will be closed for students and staff Wednesday and will reopen Thursday.
