(WTXL) - Officials are announcing school closures around the Big Bend area ahead of Hurricane Michael's landfall in Florida.
Leon County Schools will be closed from Tuesday, October 9 through Friday, October 12.
Tree of Life Tallahassee will be closed from Tuesday, October 9 through Friday, October 12.
Betton Hills Preparatory School will be closed for the rest of the week.
Aucilla Christian Academy will be closed from
Florida State University will be closed from Tuesday October 9 through Friday, October 12.
Tallahassee Community College will be closed from Tuesday October 9 through Sunday, October 14.
All Gadsden County Public Schools will be closed until Friday, October 12.
Madison County schools will be closed Tuesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 11 and possibly Friday.
Wakulla County Schools will be closed Tuesday through Friday. Wakulla County Schools are already closed on Monday, October 15 for a holiday, so school will resume on Tuesday, October 16, weather permitting.
All Suwannee County Schools will be closed on Tuesday through Friday. All extracurricular activities have also been canceled and will be rescheduled.
All Jackson County public schools are closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Valdosta City Schools will be closed on Wednesday, October 10, and Thursday, October 11, due to Hurricane Michael.
Brookwood School will be closed Wednesday and Thursday
Thomas University will closed from Tuesday through Thursday due to the forecasted impact of Hurricane Michael. TU will reopen on Friday and resume normal business operations.
Worth County Schools are closed Wednesday and Thursday.
