WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Wakulla County officials say over 5,000 people are without power and eight roads are blocked due to Irma.
Wakulla County officials have put together a list of blocked roads in the area.
Roads currently blocked:
- Woodville Highway multiple places
- Pawnee Trail
- US 98, multiple places
- Port Leon Dr
- Hickory Ave
- US 319 near Glendas
- Emmett Whaley Road
- MLK near Spring Creek Hwy
They say that there are 20 trees and 10 power lines reported as down so far, but they expect the numbers to go up as damage assessments come in.
Remember do not approach downed trees near powerlines, instead call the Sheriff's Office at 850-926-0800.
