TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - There was a lot to celebrate Monday for one local thrift store.
The Lighthouse Children's Home Thrift Store opened the doors to their brand new location.
Earlier this year the store was destroyed after someone set it on fire. An arsonist set fire to the store on South Adams Street just before 5 a.m. on February 21. Firefighter's took hours to put the blaze out.
No one was injured. Officers arrested three in connection to that fire.
Monday, the owner's happily opened their new store on south adams street. The rebuilt store was stocked with clothing, furniture, and home items for the grand reopening and those in the community were proud to step inside.
"I've been waiting, " said Joyce Rasberry. "I just happened to pass by here yesterday and seen the sign. I went and they told me about three months ago, 'We'll be opening in another month', but I'm just so glad and so blessed that God really turned it around for them and made it even better for them than before."
