TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A local organization that has helped teen girls and their families for more than 40 years puts on a holiday program.
The Lighthouse Children's Home is a residence for teen girls who are at risk with discipline problems at home or school or who have problems with the law.
A donation of $8,500 collected throughout 2017 from Springtime Tallahassee was handed over Monday in a check to the organization.
The money will be used towards their Adopt-A-Teen Program.
The donation brings the total contributions by the partnership to Lighthouse and Springtime Tallahassee to $50,000.
