TALLAHASSEE, FL -- The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is gearing up for its annual 'Light the Night' Walk Thursday.

In the United States, one person is diagnosed with blood cancer every three minutes, according to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The walk is a fundraiser campaign to raise money to find blood cancer cures. FSU's Light the Night walk is one of the only student run walks in the country.

Organizers said the event brings friends, family, and co-workers out for a common goal.

The walk benefits the local Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and kicks off Thursday, November 17 at 5:30 p.m. at the Langford Green.
