TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - On Wednesday, dozens came out to the Fort Braden Branch Library to celebrate Commissioner Jane G. Sauls' service to the community.
She spent the last twenty years serving as a county commissioner, but now, she's getting ready for retirement.
The Fort Braden Branch Library had originally started out as a book-mobile, but Commissioner Sauls saw the need for something larger and more permanent.
This is one of the biggest projects that stands out during her many years of serving the community, making it fitting that the library was dedicated to her Wednesday morning.
Sauls said, "I'm just in awe of it. I mean, I live two miles down the road, so when I go to town, I'll pass the library. When I come home, I will pass the library. I'm going to get a benefit of it everyday!"
Commissioner Sauls said that she was looking forward to spending some time in North Carolina with her husband and family, but also said that she's not leaving the area.
