LIBERTY COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida Highway Patrol reports on a car crash causing a three hour road block on County Road 67 at approximately 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27.
Jason Eli Jordan, of Hosford, Fla., was driving a log truck traveling in the northbound lane on County Road 67, where the speed limit was 55 mph.
At the crash site, there is a sharp left turn, where signage is displayed informing drivers of the dangerous curve and urges drivers to decreased their speed to 45 mph.
Jordan was driving above the speed limit when he entered the curve, which caused him to miss the curve as the right side tires of the trailer left the northbound travel lane.
He then counter-steered and lost control of the truck. The overturned truck was loaded too high with logs that fell onto the road, which blocked travel in both lanes.
Jordan was not wearing a seat belt and he has pending charges.
FHP was assisted at the scene by Liberty County Sheriff's Office, Liberty County EMS, Liberty County First Responders/Volunteer Fire Dept.
