Tallahassee, Fla. (WTXL) - In celebration of Black History Month, Leon County will host an all-ages event in honor of African-American literature.
Works by authors including Toni Morrison, Spike Lee, and Ta-Nehisi will be highlighted.
Retired television stage manager, writer, and actress Patricia Edwards is featured at the event and will read an excerpt from The Complete Poems of Paul Laurence Dunbar.
The event will take place on Sunday, February 12 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Leon County Main Library, and all seven of Leon County's Public Libraries will contain exhibitions in celebration of Black History Month throughout all of February.
