TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - One of two Leon County teens hit by a car Saturday has now passed away.
Moriah Christy, 17, died Monday from her injuries.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers say Christy and her 16-year-old friend were hit by a SUV as they were walking Saturday night near Chaires Cross Road and Henry Moss Circle.
Charges are now pending against the driver of the SUV, 31-year-old Kristin Strauss, who told troopers she never saw the teens in the road.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family cover funeral costs.
