TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The former Leon County supervisor of elections, Ion Sancho, being celebrated after 28 years of service.
Family, friends, and local residents gathered last night to thank Sancho and show their support for his retirement.
The celebration was held at the moon and featured a performance by Laughing Stock, and video tributes.
Those who attended shared their memories with him and talked about their appreciation for his diligence in making sure their vote mattered.
Sancho says, he's excited for the future.
Those in attendance were asked to wear a hat or bring a 7 and 1/8th size hat for sancho.
