TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Students are heading back to class in Leon County.

Early this morning, Superintendent Rocky Hanna welcomed back bus drivers and wished them well on the first day.

After that, WTXL took a tour with Hanna on one of the buses, heading to Rickards High School and Apalachee Elementary.

He says he is honored to be apart of the school system and is excited for this year.

"We are gonna take care of the babies," said Hanna. "I promise you there is a bunch of good people here doing great things. They are in this profession because they love children. They know they aren't going to have beach front property, but that's okay because each and every day they are going to get up whether they are a bus driver, teacher, or school principal."
