LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Next Monday, Leon County Schools will be closed for Presidents Day holiday.
District officials say schools will be closed on Monday, February 18 in observation of Presidents Day holiday.
Public schools will reopen as normal on Tuesday, February 19.
The district has yet to decide whether Presidents Day will remain an observed holiday for the next two years.
On Tuesday, Leon County Schools' district advisory council is expected to make a recommendation to the school board regarding proposed school calendar options for the 2019 - 2020 and the 2020 - 2021 school years.
