TALLAHASSEE, Fla-- The Leon County School System will attempt to set a new American record on Saturday.
During the school system's arts and music festival, LCS is hoping to have 500 parents read simultaneously in the same place.
The attempt will take place at 10 a-m.
It is part of the school district's efforts to inspire kids and their parents to read more.
The arts and music festival will run from 9 a-m to 4 p-m Saturday May 6th, with more than 20 performances on three different stages in Kleman plaza.
