TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Troopers say a Leon County school bus full of children was involved in a crash Wednesday morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol says they are investigating the crash that took place on Commonwealth Blvd around 8 a.m. Wednesday.
They say the bus, driven by 39-year-old Makesha Robinson, was traveling east in the right lane of Commonwealth Blvd when she tried to switch into the left lane.
However, another car was traveling in the right lane during the attempted lane change, so the rear of the school bus hit the car causing minor damage.
Troopers say the school bus was transporting approximately 52 student to school at the time. Luckily, none of the children were injured and the bus continued on to school after a short delay.
It is unclear which school the bus was headed to. FHP says charges are pending investigation.
