TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Leon County School Board is holding their last school board meeting before the new school year kicks off.
We spoke with Superintendent Rocky Hanna at his office. He says they're covering a lot at Tuesday night's school board meeting, but one of the major topics is the proposed 2019 budget.
The tentative budget for 2019 is $535.8 million. That is about $14 million more than the last budget.
Hanna says some of the money, about $550,000, will be used for student activities.
