TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Leon County School Board officials have approved funding to repair the track at Chiles High School.
This comes after reports the track was caving in. According to the school board, the storm water conveyance system located under the track is in need of repairs. Officials say the system was leaking, creating multiple safety issues.
At Tuesday night's board meeting, leaders agreed to set aside $30,000 for the project on the system, which will be repaired by North Florida Asphalt, Inc.
