TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--Leon County's tentative budget includes several new positions.
County leaders say they've seen a 24-percent increase in calls for service from 2003-2014 so they're looking to add one fully staffed ambulance for Leon County Emergency Medical Services.
With the number of building and development projects rising, three staff positions would be added to the Leon County Development Services and Environmental Management Department, all supported through permitting revenues.
The proposed fiscal year 2015 budget of $227 million is a 2.7 percent increase from last year's budget.
