TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Leon County government received five national awards for excellence in government public information and communications.
The awards came from the City-County Communications and Marketing Association (3CMA) and Granicus Solutions, the largest provider of cloud-based software solutions to government organizations.
"These national awards acknowledge our work and set an even higher bar for us to exceed next year," said Mathieu Cavell, director of Leon County Community and Media Relations.
The 3CMA Savvy Awards are awarded to government organizations for creative and successful programs in three areas: tools, graphic design and photography, and processes.
Granicus Digital Strategy Awards are presented for effective and innovative approaches to digital strategy and excellence in key areas including transforming access to services, creative and innovative use of digital tools, and improving citizen engagement.
Out of hundreds of entries submitted from cities and counties across the country, 3CMA awarded four awards to Leon County in categories ranging from Promotional Video to Graphic Design.
The following programs and services received awards:
- Created Equal, in the category of Community Visioning or Branding
- Build Your Bucket, in the category of Resident Participation
- Leon Works Expo, in the category of Special Events
- 2017 Sustainable Communities Summit, best in the category of Promotional Video
Granicus Solutions awarded Leon County with the Transformed Access to Services award for the Leon County Citizens Connect App.
