TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tallahassee officials are encouraging people to prepare to vote by participating in the National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday.

Leon County Supervisor of Elections staff and trained volunteers will be at five area businesses and their new office to offer help. The office, located at 2990-1 Apalachee Parkway, will be open 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The officials say people who need to make changes to their registration include voters who have recently moved or changed their names or political party affiliations.

People who have recently turned 18 should also consider participating in the day, officials said, by completing a Florida voter Registration Application.

The application is available at LeonVotes.org, which is where voters can check the accuracy of their information.
