TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL)- Leon County is relaunching a popular program at its libraries.
More than 10,000 seed packets were checked out in just days earlier this year, making the Leon County Seed program a big success.
To celebrate the launch, the County will be holding a kickoff event on August 8 at the Lake Jackson Community Center that will feature experts from the Leon County Cooperative Extension.
They'll teach attendees about starting their own garden, harvesting produce, and preparing delicious seasonal recipes among several other topics.
Seeds will be available for checkout at all library locations on the same day.
The libraries will offer fall varieties of seeds for the current planting season.
