TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Leon County leaders held a meeting Wednesday night, to look for public input on the future of Apalachee Regional Park.
Earlier this year, the county discontinued landfill services at the Solid Waste Management facility that shares space with the park, located on Apalachee Parkway.
The closure of the facility opens more opportunities for additional park activities on the property.
The park currently has four multi-purpose fields with lighting, a restroom and concession stand, a radio control air field and a nationally recognized cross country course.
