LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Leon County Humane Society hosted a dog wash as a part of their Paw Prints Calendar Contest.
The contest is also one of the organization's biggest fundraisers of the year.
This year's fundraising goal is $25,000, the Leon County Humane Society is $19,000 short and the contest ends in about two weeks.
"Fundraising is huge for us. In order to complete our mission every year and save as many lives as possible, we need the help of the community and the support of our local donors. We don't receive any state city or federal funding or funding fro many national humane society," said Lisa Glunt, Executive Director for Leon County Humane Society. "Everything we do is provided by the generosity of our local individuals and businesses."
The winner of the 2019 Paw Prints Calendar will have their pet professionally photographed.
