TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- The Leon County Humane Society Executive Director has resigned from her position, announced the agency's board of directors.
Sabrina Rodriguez de Conte submitted her resignation effective immediately.
Lisa Glunt will serve as interim executive director, she previously served as Leon County Humane Society’s cat foster program coordinator.
“The Board appreciates Sabrina Rodriguez de Conte’s hard work, dedication and passion for the well-being of companion animals, and we look forward to working with Lisa and the community to continue Leon County Humane Society’s important mission,” said Board President Hella Spellman.
de Conte's resignation came days after a community meeting was held Tuesday. At the meeting volunteers and community members expressed their growing concern about de Conte.
