TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - An investigation into Mayor Andrew Gillum's use of his city issued email has been turned over the the State Attorney's office.
Lt. Grady Jordan at the Leon County Sheriff's Office said the case and narrative report has been turned over to State Attorney Jack Campbell.
LCSO says that once Campbell reviews the case report, they will know more details.
Campbell confirmed that he had received the investigative report, but hasn't read it yet, saying that the report seems to be multiple pages long.
He says that the document will take time to read and digest it. He also says that will not talk about specifics because of a pending investigation.
This comes after Gillum was accused of misusing his city issued email for political gain.
In a previous interview with WTXL, Gillum said that he's reimbursed the city, for a total of just under $5,000.
