TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - The Leon County Sheriffs Office will be conducting a road sobriety checkpoint Thursday evening.
The checkpoint will be at the 1700 block of Hermitage Boulevard. It will start at 7pm and end at 9pm.
The sheriffs office says that all northbound traffic will be stopped during this time.
Deputies from the sheriffs office as well as Tallahassee Police, FSU police, FAMU Police, and the Florida Highway Patrol will be present to check drivers for signs of impairment.
Officers will also be looking for tag or license violations, seatbelt violations, and car insurance requirements.
The Leon County Sheriffs Office says that "these efforts are focused at reducing impaired driving while ensuring that vehicles are being safely operated in our community."
