TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Leon County Sheriff's Office is hosting its 37th Citizens Academy class for the past several weeks.
It's an effort to show residents how deputies train to serve our community.
WTXL was at the Florida Public Safety Institute, learning a little bit more about what the Leon County Sheriff's Office does on a daily basis.
S.W.A.T. training was going on and Sergeant Fred Smelt was there to tell us more.
