TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Leon County deputies have arrested a woman in connection to the theft of a resident's car and a Fed Ex truck.
According to the sheriff's office, deputies were called out to the Target on Bradfordville Road, after reports of a stolen car. The victim flagged the deputy down, saying while detailing cars at the Chevron on Thomasville Road, a black woman wearing dark clothing got inside a red VW Jetta and took off. The victim told deputies they followed the suspect into the Target parking lot, where she parked.
While the deputy was at the scene speaking to the original victim, a Fed Ex driver approached the, saying his truck had been stolen from the parking lot. Deputies say his description matched the one by the first victim.
Minutes later, a Tallahassee Police officer spotted the truck on Maclay Commerce Drive. The driver fled, heading into a dead end near Premier Health and Fitness. She was identified as the suspect by both victims.
Both vehicles were recovered and deputies identified the accused culprit as 23-year-old Alvinecia Dyson. She's been charged with two counts of Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle and one count of resisting an officer without violence.
