TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Leon Classroom Teacher Association and Leon County School district went back and forth on teacher pay Thursday.
The LCTA wants to increase teacher pay by about $4,500 over the next two years, including a $3,000 bonus this year.
Meanwhile, Leon County schools have offered a $1,500 increase this year.
The president of the LCTA says teachers are not getting a fair increase in wages.
