TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Leon County Chairman John Dailey and Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum are meeting Monday to discuss the recent spate of violence and possible solutions.

It's the type of partnership Gillum has been pushing for, calling on all local government and law enforcement to activate a central action center at the Public Safety Complex under the leadership of Sheriff Walt McNeil.

Ahead of the meeting, Dailey says that while he's glad he and the mayor are talking about this issue face-to-face, he has doubts about turning Leon County's Emergency Operations Center into a crime-fighting hub.

Dailey and Gillum will meet at the Leon County Courthouse.
